at the beginning of march, roblox made an announcement detailing that they would take every audio on the roblox catalog offsale, if they met the following conditions:
naturally, this would mean that every single audio in every single map (community-compiled map packs, maps uploaded onto polygon/tadah, etc) would be unusable. the only exception being sound effects used in gears or models.
i took the liberty of archiving every single audio from every map i had (including every map uploaded to polygon - tadah I wasn't able to do with 2014 map files), and they have all be reuploaded to polygon. it's only about 80 audios, but it should mostly have your maps covered
to get sound in your maps to work again (if they've been archived), change the SoundId links in your maps from www.roblox.com
to polygon.pizzaboxer.xyz
.
for example: if you had a Sound object in your map, and the SoundId was set to http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=1234
, then you just change it to http://polygon.pizzaboxer.xyz/asset/?id=1234
.
this will also work in tadah maps, once the tadah client has been made to allow assets from other websites.
you do NOT need to change the id itself - just the domain. if it still doesn't work, then unfortunately it hasn't been archived.
