there's a lot to unpack here, so i'll get straight to it:

• dedicated servers have been added (bet you didn't see that coming - you also won't have to use a VPN anymore!)
• selfhosted servers have been completely erased from polygon
• 3D thumbnails now exist
• there's a new studio landing page
• the account configuration page looks considerably less ass now
• vertical tabs look much better on mobile now
• some website optimization (stuff like the browse page and sorting by sales on the catalog especially should be much, much faster now)
• dark theme should look a lot better now

this has been all in the works for about two months, and i originally wanted to release this on january 22, but there were many setbacks in terms of dedicated servers.

for the time being, only 2011 places can be publicly available while 2010 and 2012 places will have to be friends-only. in the future i may allow 2010 to be publicly available too.

i also want to take this post to mention something - i won't be working on polygon for a really long time.
as i've mentioned before, i work on polygon entirely solo and i don't have time to work on something as big and complex as this anymore, and i've done my best to add as much as i can within the past two months.
with that said, stuff like data persistence, badges, packages, among other things won't be here for a while.
i will do my best to support and maintain polygon for the time being but i will not be developing any new features or anything anytime soon. hope you understand.

also, if you don't have an account and have been wondering about obtaining a registration ticket, right now they are only creatable by polygon staff. however, with places out of the way now, i will be considering expanding ticket creation to people here who have an account, but not right now. if you want a ticket to hand to your friend, feel free to ask me in dms. with that said, don't ask me for one if you don't have an account or expect no response
