back before the user wipe, i asked on the forums for dedicated servers to be added, which im happy with however i kinda miss the self-hosted servers, as it was fun trolling my friends on it, like i get there could be security issues with people and it but i have some solutions to help with this,

Solution 1: Self-hosted servers key only, this means you need a generated key to join a self-hosted server which is given out by the owner on discord or whatever you use.
Solution 2: Self-hosted servers should be friends only, this may help a bit

These two solutions might help when making a self-hosted server to help prevent any security issues like ip grabbing.
